The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC, has cancelled chairmanship, councilorship election in Ido local government area.
According to the chairman of the commission, Aare Abiola Olagunju, whose voice was played on Fresh 105.9 FM, he said the cancellation became important following the omission of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, logo.
Ido is the only council the ZLP is contesting the council election in the state.
The OYSIEC Chairman said he took full responsibility for the error, he said he and other members of the commission would take decision to know the next move.
He said the error was not deliberate as he had planned an error-free election.
Meanwhile, despite the cancellation, election is still ongoing across wards in the council area.
With the error committed by OYSIEC, the body may reschedule in the affected LG at a later date.
