The Chairman, Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akin Alamu today spoke about the ongoing recruitment of the commission before deadly COVID-19 forced them to put it hold.
Pastor Alamu while speaking on Fresh Fm radio station’s programme tagged ‘Situation Room’ detailed how COVID-19 could not allow them to complete the recruitment process as planned.
The TESCOM chair while giving the statistics said that more than 120, 000 applicants applied for both teaching and non-teaching staff positions. He reiterated that Oyo TESCOM can only employ 10,000 applicants from the pool.
The TESCOM boss also revealed that only about 70,000 to 80,000 applicants will soon be called to partake in the Computer Based Test(CBT). Pastor Alamu affirmed that the CBT will take place not later than August, 2020.
According to Pastor Alamu the state government has since released money, for the conduct of the computer based test.
