The younger brother of former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, Wasiu Ajimobi, Tirimisiyu Arowolo Obisesan and eight other chiefs have been promoted from Balogun Lineage to Olubadan throne by Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji Akanmu Ogungunniso I.
The death of Ayingun Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Busari Adebisi necessitated the promotion of ten chiefs to Olubadan throne.
Chief Wasiu Delodun Adegboyega Ajimobi was promoted from Lagunna to Aare Ago Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Tirimisiyu Fijabi Arowolo Obisesan from Aare Ago to Ayingun Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Babajide Taofeek Ayoade from Aregbe Omo to Oota Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Mikail Gboyega Olawoyin Orogunmodi from Oota to Lagunna Balogun, Chief Lateef Adetokunbo Akintola from Gbonka to Aregbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland.
