Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has expressed his administration readiness to to immortalised former governor of State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala by naming 76.67km Ogbomoso-Iseyin road after him upon completion.
Governor Makinde made the declaration during the flag off ceremony of the 76.67km Ogbomoso – Iseyin Road. He added that late Alao-Akala was pencilled down by his administration to flag-off the road construction before his demise.
Alao-Akala, the All Progressives Congress APC chieftain died in his Ogbomoso residence on January 12, 2022 shortly after his arrival from Abuja.
Makinde said the former governor contributed to the growth and development of Oyo State during his tenure.
