The Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has announced and ordered immediate release of one hundred million for the renovation of Soun Ogbomoso Palace that was attacked two days by angry protesters following the killing of Isiaka Jimoh in a peaceful EndSARS protest.
Governor Makinde made the disclosure when he visited the Ogbomoso highest traditional monarch to pay a sympathy visit to him.
FreshPage reports that Soun Ogbomoso palace was attacked when the Minister of Youth and Sport Development, Mr. Sunday Dare visited Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade in his palace to commiserate and intimate the traditional monarch what he was doing to salvage the whole situation.
Governor Seyi Makinde also directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matter, Chief Bayo Lawal and caretaker Chairman of Ogbomoso North local government to take stock of cars and valuables that were destroyed by the hoodlums that invaded the palace.
The Oyo Governor also took his time to visit the family of Isiaka Jimoh who was shot during the EndSARS protest before he left Ogbomoso.
In his response, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi appreciated the prompt response of the governor and urged him to intensity his effort in protection of lives and properties in the State.
