Barely four months after Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Ajé Ogungunniso I joined his ancestors, his younger Chief Ambali Adetunji is dead.
Oyo Insight gathered that right hand man of late monarch died on Tuesday at the age of 84. The remains of Ambali was lowered to grave according Islamic rites at his residence, Odo-Oba, Boluwaji, Ibadan on Tuesday.
Ambali worked his late brother for decades to change the face of Fuji music in Nigeria. The long journey gave them the opportunity to pick legendary Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, Kwam 1 from the street and gave him necessary support to become global icon of Fuji.
According to family source who did not want name in print, Alhaji Ambali was actually the one managing the record labels while Oba Adetunji was responsible for providing financial resources for the business outfit.
