A member of the newly constituted 2nd Assembly of Oyo State Youth Parliament, Comrade Abdulwahab Ameen Olalekan, has commended Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede for providing a training ground for future leaders in the state.
He made the statement in a letter of appreciation to governor and commissioner for youth and sports, and the copy made available to FRESHPAGE REPORTER
It will be recalled that the Executive Governor of the State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE had on April 23, 2021 approved the reconstitution of the Youth Parliament in order “to strengthen youth participation in governance.” To this effect, the Commissioner for Youth and ask, Engr. ‘Seun Fakorede MNSE, spearheaded a screening committee on October 20, 2021, which comprises representatives from the National Orientation Agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, National Youth Council of Nigeria, the State House of Assembly and the Oyo State Youth Agency.
