The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, has directed the Commissioner of Police, Osun State, CP Olaleye Faleye, to investigate the alleged assault on woman Inspector Olorunsogo Bamidele by her DCO in Ode Omu Osun State.
Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi disclosed this is a press statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday.
The order came barely hours after the viral video of the Inspector Bamidele exposing the high handedness of DCO Ajayi Mathew over her refusal for marital relationship.
FreshPage reports that Inspector Bamidele narrated how her life was saved by civilians around when her superior threatened to kill her with dane gun.
Inspector Bamidele had cut in her chest, two hands and face from the viral video obtained by FreshPage.
“We will await the report of the investigation from Osun State Police Command before necessary actions are taken. However we assure the general public that justice will be done in the case, to protect the core values and ethics of the NPF”.
