Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho has regained freedom after spending 231 days in Benin Republic prison for crime related to traveling documents forgery.

The Self-determination Group, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide confirmed release of Chief Sunday Igboho in its statement.
According to Communication Secretary of the group, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye narrated that Igboho was released to Professor Banji Akintoye and Professor Wale Adeniran.
Professor Akintoye hailed the release of Igboho and described it as a triumph of truth over darkness in Yoruba land.
