Governor Seyi Makinde’s deputy, Engr Rauf Olaniyan has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Engr Rauf Olaniyan disclosed his intention to leave PDP for another party at the press conference held in Ibadan, on Sunday.
Olaniyan reiterated that he remains the Deputy Governor of Oyo State.
FRESHPAGE observed that Governor Makinde who is seeking re-election for second term has signified his intention to pick another running late in person of Barr Bayo Lawal as replacement for Engr Olaniyan.
This newspaper understands that the relationship between Governor Makinde and his deputy, Olaniyan was not cordial for the past months.
Olaniyan had alleged Governor Makinde on different occasions for trying to impeach him.
