Accord, Oyo central senatorial candidate in the recently held Presidential and National Assembly Elections in Oyo state, Engr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, has described as baseless, rumours making rounds that he has defected to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Engr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen who polled a total of 41,743 votes in the keenly contested election, in a message personally signed by him and made available to FreshPage said, he has put the election behind him as a firm believer in the tenets, and frowned at the misleading information been peddled around by members of the APC in the state.

He said, as a refined politician with a strong grassroot support base and with a complete sense of decency, he will not hide behind a finger if after due consultation with his followers, he wants to move to any other political party.
He declared that he is a member of Accord and a firm believer in the programmes and ideas of the party.
While warning the faceless group of transactional politicians, who have been dropping his name around for their selfish political ambition, to desist from such unscrupulous act.
Engr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen declared that as a registered bonafide member of Accord, he will not condone any of such act again from the disgruntled elements.
