The ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC has regained more political strength following the resignation of Bayelsa Governor, Mr. Duoye Diri.
The Governor along with 23 members of the House of Assembly announced their resignation from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

The latest development weakened opposition party in the country, and came barely 48hours after Enugu Governor, Peter Mbah formalised his defection along with NASS members, House of Assembly members and over 80 per cent political structure in the state to APC.
The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, disclosed this development on Wednesday.
