Barely hours after the inauguration of the 2nd Assembly of Oyo Youth Parliament, a member representing Orelope Constituency, Ogundiran Abel Oluwaseun popularly called ‘Abel Heaven’ eulogized Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for genuine love for youth and inclusion in his administration.
Comrade Ogundiran also commended Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Seun Fakorede for a job well done through a rigorous screening/interview exercise conducted to bring out the best in representatives.
Comrade Ogundiran expressed his deep appreciation to Oyo State Government under the able leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde in a statement made available to FRESHPAGE reporter shortly after the inauguration.

FreshPage recalls that the Executive Governor of the State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE had on April 23, 2021 approved the reconstitution of the Youth Parliament in order “to strengthen youth participation in governance.”
As part of the effort to have vibrant representatives across the 33 local government areas in the state, the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Seun Fakorede supervised the screening committee on October 20, 2021, which comprises representatives from the National Orientation Agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, National Youth Council of Nigeria, the State House of Assembly and the Oyo State Youth Agency.
Comrade Ogundiran appreciated his parents Mr. and Mrs Dayo Ogundiran and families for their persistent and unrelenting support of his Uncle Mr and Mrs Matthew Ogungbenro.
