The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatening the FG that its members will begin strike as soon as their Salaries are stopped by the Federal Government due to non-compliance with IPPIS policy of the FG.

It would be recalled that Accountant General of the Federation had earlier issued directive to Ministry of Finance to stop payment of salaries to ASUU members who are yet to key into IPPIS.

The University of Ibadan chapter president of ASUU, Prof Deji Omole while reacting to letter conveyed to Ministry of Finance to stop payment of ASUU members said that ASUU rejection of IPPIS was as result of point of law, principle and rule of law. Professor Omole said the ASUU has offered University Transparency and Accountability Solutions (UTAS) as alternative to IPPIS.
