The Igbega Oyo Initiative under its founder Dr Ololade Usman Bakare has formally entered into a strategic collaboration with the City Boy Movement (CBM) in a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilization, civic engagement, and political participation ahead of the 2027 general elections to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This partnership is built on a shared belief in progressive leadership, inclusive governance, and the need to consolidate the gains of the current administration under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. With a clear vision and structured plan, both organizations are aligning their strengths to deliver a formidable political outcome, targeting 1,000,000 votes for President Tinubu from Oyo State and beyond in 2027.
Speaking on the collaboration meeting held in Abuja, founder of the Igbega Oyo Initiative and gubernatorial aspirant, Dr Bakare emphasized that the goal is not merely to campaign, but to build a people-driven movement that promotes unity, development, and sustained political awareness at the ward, local government, and state levels.
He assured that Igbega Oyo Initiative has the strength and capacity to deliver over one million votes for President Tinubu in 2027 out of over 2.5million registered voters in the state.
He revealed that Igbega Oyo Initiative will harness its rich network with religious organisation, artisan and transport unions, professional groups, student bodies, market association and traditional institutions across zones in Oyo State.
The City Boy Movement, under its Director-General, Hon. Francis Shoga is known for its energetic mobilization and strong youth engagement.

The partnership between Igbega Oyo Initiative and City Boy Movement will focus on voter education, membership expansion, grassroots advocacy, community outreach, and the establishment of a robust mobilization network across all geopolitical zones of Oyo State.
At the meeting, both groups agreed that the 2027 election will require not just Renewed Hope slogans, but deliberate organization, sincere engagement with the people, and a clear message of continuity and progress.

As preparations intensify, the Igbega Oyo Initiative and the City Boy Movement reaffirm their readiness to work tirelessly, peacefully, and strategically to ensure that the voice of the people is heard through the ballot, and that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives overwhelming support in 2027.
