The Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF), under the leadership of its Founder and Chairman, Ambassador Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon, has officially commenced its end-of-year community engagement programmes, ushering in a season of social, academic, and sporting activities across the Ibarapa zone.
The end-of-year events represent the grand finale of the Foundation’s yearly interventions and come on the heels of the successful Second Edition of the Olusegun Okanlawon Mathematics Competition for Senior Secondary Schools. While the academic competition set the tone, the focus has now shifted to broader community participation and unity.
The Mathematics Competition, which featured students from across Ibarapa, rewarded outstanding performance with cash prizes of ₦150,000, ₦100,000, and ₦50,000 for first, second, and third positions respectively. The initiative reinforced the Foundation’s commitment to youth development and educational advancement as part of its wider social responsibility agenda.

Speaking on the significance of the programmes, Comrade Sunday Adedokun Harshasha, Director of the OOF/DOO Media and Public Relations Unit, noted that the academic event was designed to complement the Foundation’s end-of-year community activities.
“The Mathematics Competition was a build-up to the end-of-year programmes. It reflects Ambassador Okanlawon’s belief in balancing intellectual development with community bonding and social engagement,” he said.
