Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has commiserated with the families of victims of Bodija explosion that happened on Tuesday, January 16, which claimed two lives and got 77 injured.
Senator Akanbi said the unnecessary explosion that rocked part of old Bodija is highly regrettable.
He commended the State Governor, H.E Engr. Seyi Makinde and other emergency agencies for being proactive and providing rapid response to victims to save life
“The Governor has given a re-assurrance to the citizens. In this season of hardship, carelessness of an individual has been linked to the fatality, injuries and multi-million naira damage to properties in the environment.
“At this juncture, it should be drummed to all citizens that vigilance and quick report should be made to necessary authority whenever a security lapse is noticed. It should become our responsibility.
“We pray to Almighty God for the reposed of the deceased souls and a speedy recovery to the injured. May peace and tranquility noted with Ibadan reign supreme”.
