The Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale FAS, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Ezekiel Ayoola has received the University of Ibadan Students that made the institution proud at the recently concluded HUAWEI 2021/2022 ICT Competition.

The students participated in Cloud and Network Tracks with three members in each track. Both Network and Cloud Tracks made it to the Global finals of the competition where they clinched 2nd and 1st prizes respectively.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his deep delight and appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the coordinator and students in preparing for all stages leading to the final and ultimate emergence of UI as winners in both categories.

He commended the Director, Information Technology and Media Services, Mrs Abiodun Alao and the Deputy Director, representative of the Student Instructors, Mr Soji Adisa for a job well done.

Mrs Abiodun Alao introduced the team members to the Vice Chancellor for presentation of their awards.

The students for the Cloud track were: Warris Sanusi from the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering; Chibueze Ibekwe, Department of Computer Science and Raphel Emeka from the Department of Physics. While the Network Track group included Abdulganiy Tohir, Loveday Enwere and Lukman Abdulyekeen, all from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Ibadan.
