Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye

Barely hours after the kingmakers installed Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olayoe as 30th Soun of Ogbomoso, the monarch has gone into seclusion as part of the rites to his ascension to the throne.

FreshPage gathered that some of the required traditional rites have been performed before he was formally installed by the kingmakers led by Chief Otolorin the Aare Ago of Ogbomoso.

A credible source from the palace confirmed that Oba Ghandi Laoye has been moved to secluded place where he would stay for seven days.

The 30th Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Laoye Orumogege III will be exposed to palace ethics and protocols among others that defined the stool at Ipebi.

After seven days in seclusion, Oba Ghandi Olaoye is expected to perform another rites called ‘Ikije’ after which he would be accessible to the public and await official coronation and presentation of staff of office from the government.
