The rate at which grown up adults rape with minor in the country is becoming alarming as 67 -year-old man, Mr. Saadu Alabi allegedly raping underage pupils in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The Nation reports that the perpetrators of the heinous crimes were Kwara based.
Mr. Alabi is a herbalist was arraigned in a Magistrate Court in Kwara along with one Mr. AbdulGaniyu Haruna charged with raping of three pupils of Community Junior Secondary School, Ilorin.
The sad story of the girls were reported to police by a member of International Federation of Women Lawyer.
The Police report confirmed that the suspects; Alabi and Haruna had canal knowledge of the underage girls under guise of making charms for them.
The prosecutor said the defendants have raped the girls on countless times.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr. O. A Idiagbon ordered that the suspects be remanded in Federal Correctional Custodial Centre, Ilorin while the case was adjourned till August, 4, 2022.
