After spending forty five days in Saudi Arabia, the first batch of pilgrims from Oyo State who performed holy pilgrimage in Makkah and Madinah are on their way home.
The pilgrims, numbering 472, left their hotels at 1:30 am Saudi time on Sunday morning (11:30 pm Saturday in Nigeria) for Jeddah, from where they took off to Nigeria at 5 pm Saudi time (3 pm Nigeria time).

The first batch pilgrims are expected to arrive Nigeria later this evening while the remaining batches are returning to the country by Wednesday.

Recall that the pilgrims arrived Madinah on the 2nd of June 2023 and performed this year’s hajj exercise alongside other Muslim faithfuls from Nigeria and about 160 other countries.
