A socio-political organisation, Ibadan Youth-indigenes Association for Development has called on Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II and Alááfìn of Òyó Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1 to prioritise peace and development of Yorubaland and shelve superiority rivalry.
The group made the call in a statement made available to FRESHPAGE by its Welfare, Fakunle Busayo. The group appealed to the two leading traditional leaders in Yorubaland to champion development for entire Yoruba nation.

The Ibadan Youth-Indigenes Association for Development (IYI) is using this moment to appeal for unity and understanding across Yorubaland. We believe strongly that our strength as a people lies not in prolonged disputes over chieftaincy titles or traditional rivalries, but in our collective pursuit of peace, progress, and regional development.

We therefore call on our highly revered royal fathers — the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade — to continue to lead by example in promoting harmony, cooperation, and development-oriented dialogue across Yoruba land.
Let us move away from distractions that divide us and instead channel our heritage, wisdom, and resources into regional integration, youth empowerment, cultural renaissance, and economic growth for the Yoruba nation.
It is only in an atmosphere of peace that true development can thrive.
