The group under the platform of Ibarapa Solidarity Network (ISN) has commended the former Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi for recording unprecedented landmark in the Ibarapaland.
The resolution of the group to commend Senator Akanbi openly became imperative following his contribution to the growth and development of the entire seven communities that make up Ibarapaland.
The leader of group, Mr. Rotimi Fagbure in a commendation letter issued on behalf of the group said Senator Akanbi remained one of the good faces of the region within and outside Oyo State.
“He has done a lot for us before he became Senator of Oyo South, while serving as Senator in the 8th National Assembly he facilitated projects and identified with us.
“When he left office close to 2 years, he remains our best friend, a politician that want development of our society.
“The Vice Chairman, South West Agenda (SWAGA23) has met with leaders and stakeholders to preach peace and unity. He has visited over 40 elders from our land in their respective domains.
“Okanlomo of Ibadanland became the first politician from Ibadan to commiserate and sympathize with late family of Dr. Aborode that was killed by agent of evils in the Ibarapaland.
“Senator Akanbi has genuine love for people of Ibadanland little wonder he secured approval for construction of mini-grid in two communities in Ibarapaland.
