The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has sent a condolence letter to the family of immediate past governor of the State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
The letter which was dated back 29th June, 2020 was delivered today to Oluyole residence of the former governor and received Mr. Sunmonu on behalf of Ajimobi’s family.
Governor Seyi Makinde who was outside the state when the former governor died, since his return he has not visit the family of deceased in person.
It was accusation and counter-accusation in the viral video when the Deputy Governor of the state, Engr Rauf Olaniyan visited Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, wife of the deceased.
Mrs. Florence Ajimobi who could not hold her emotion, accused the state government of playing politics with the death of her husband.
It would be recalled that Ajimobi’s family had intention of buried their late father at his Plot 48 Mansion in Agodi GRA but the State Government rejected the move by the family saying the land where former governor built is mansion subject to litigation.
The state government urged the family to buried him at his Oluyole residence which was approved by the state government.
