Amb. (Dr) Gbenga Clement Obilade has felicitated with Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Olubadan of Ibadanland over the monarch’s inauguration as the Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs by Gov Seyi Makinde.
Dr Obilade who is also Bobagunwa of Akinjole Community in Egbeda LGA described the historic inauguration as a commencement of the new era in Oyo’s administration of traditional institutions in the State. He added that the recognition of Oba Ladoja as Chairman is a clear recognition of monarch’s exceptional wisdom, royal pedigree and lifelong commitment to peace, unity and cultural preservation.

He emphasized that Olubadan stool has always symbolised stability, dignity, and progressive leadership.
Dr Obilade who is also founder of Gbenga Obilade’s Foundation, a non-governental organisation, said Olubadan’s leadership style is rooted in consultation, fairness and respect for age-long traditions of the Council of Obas and Chiefs. Bobagunwa of Akinjole said that the Council will continue to serve as a unifying platform for traditional leaders and chiefs in the State while fostering harmony between traditional authorities and government at all levels.
