It is no longer news that Oyo State overtook Lagos State by recording highest number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24hours.
According to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) update on its Twitter handle, Oyo State recorded 191 new cases where Lagos State that was known for leading the log all these while came second with 186 new cases.
An Ibadan-based not for profit making organization, Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation in conjunction with Oyo State Government through Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON) have organised a sensitization campaign for market men and women at Eleyele axis, Ibadan.
Market men and women were told that responsibility is a necessity for combating the Corona Virus (COVID-19).
The Foundation reminded them that; “as citizens, we have roles to play and we must rise to the occasion of adapting to the new lifestyle for the benefits of everyone”.
The Health Officer present took time to give credible information regarding the deadly coronavirus and seek the support of everyone in combating the spread in community.
After sensitization programme, the EET foundation gave fabrics nose mask to the people.
Oyo State now has a total confirmed COVID-19 cases of 2497, active cases of 1325. transferred out is 1 with 1146 total recovered and 24 deaths.
