•Says Poor Parenting Responsible for Insecurity, Other Social Vices

The former student leader of the University of Ibadan, Stephen Omotayo led others to orphanage home based in Alimosho, Lagos State to donate food items as a way of giving back to society.

The Mellanby Hall Chairman for 2011/2012 academic session noted that poor parenting is the major factor responsible for insecurity, ritual killings, banditry among others.

Mrs. EbunOluwa Adebomi, the coordinator at the Divine Destiny Orphanage located at Alimosho, Lagos received Mr. Omotayo and his team at the centre.

She appreciated the gesture and thanked the donor. She charged other well meaning Nigerians to imbibe the culture of giving back to society and less privileged homes.

Mr. Omotayo used the occasion to launch the Nursing Father Blog. He stressed the need for fathers to make themselves available and play active roles by instilling virtues, ideals and discipline in young kids.

“The vision of the The Nursing Father Blog is to bring back the fast eroding culture of accountable fatherhood since fathers are the primary custodians of discipline and responsible household.

“Humanitarian activity is enshrined in our core goals not only to give back to society but to raise the bar of fatherhood beyond financial obligations in the family”.
