The Eleruwa of Eruwaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin I, has called for sustained unity among the people of Eruwa while commending the support of the Oyo State Government toward the development of the ancient town.
The monarch made the remarks while speaking at an event to mark the first anniversary of his installation and presentation of the Staff of Office as the 17th Eleruwa of Eruwa.
Reflecting on the milestone, Oba Adegbola expressed gratitude to God and appreciation to the people of Eruwaland for their unwavering support, prayers and cooperation throughout the past year.
He described the journey of the last twelve months as one guided by responsibility, tradition and a firm commitment to strengthening harmony and progress within the community.
Oba Adegbola recalled that his ascension to the revered throne of his forefathers on March 6, 2025 came with a deep sense of duty to uphold the customs and cultural values associated with the Eleruwa stool.
According to the monarch, the palace has in the last one year focused on fostering unity through dialogue, reconciliation and inclusive engagement with various stakeholders across the community.

As part of activities commemorating the anniversary, the Director of Media and Public Communications to the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Sunday Adedokun, also interacted with journalists on Friday, noting that the occasion provides an opportunity to highlight the cultural importance of the Eleruwa institution and its enduring role in the life of the people.
He explained that the palace remains committed to promoting the heritage of Eruwaland while encouraging unity, cooperation and constructive dialogue among all segments of the community.
The royal father expressed appreciation to the high chiefs, kingmakers, elders, youths, women groups, religious leaders and indigenes of Eruwa both at home and in the diaspora for their continued support toward strengthening the dignity and stability of the traditional institution.
Oba Adegbola also commended the Oyo State Government for its cooperation and support since his coronation.

He particularly praised the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his prompt response to requests presented during the coronation activities and for demonstrating commitment to the development of Eruwa within the last one year.
The monarch therefore urged residents and indigenes of the town to appreciate the governor for his support and continued interest in the growth and development of the community.
Speaking on security, the Eleruwa advised residents to remain vigilant and conscious of their surroundings, noting that safety and peace require the cooperation of every member of the community.
He also warned against unnecessary late-night movements, urging residents to be mindful of their safety and support local security efforts.

Reaffirming his dedication to the people, Oba Adegbola pledged to continue serving Eruwaland with humility, fairness and a fatherly commitment to the wellbeing of the community.
He added that the palace will continue to support initiatives that promote peace, cultural preservation and sustainable development across the town.
The monarch also urged sons and daughters of Eruwa to remain united and committed to the collective advancement of their homeland, noting that unity remains the foundation for lasting growth.
Oba Adegbola concluded by praying for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Eruwaland, the Ibarapa region and Oyo State as a whole.
