Edo State House of Assembly on Monday impeached embattled Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu.
The impeachment followed the adoption of the report of the seven-man investigative panel set up by the Chief Judge to probe allegations of misconduct against Shaibu.
FRESHPAGE.COM.NG understand that the age-long crisis between Governor Obaseki and Mr Philip Shaibu over who becomes PDP standard bearer for the next governorship election in the state finally consumed the deputy governor of his seat.

The Justice Stephen Omonua (Rtd)-led seven-man panel set up by the Chief Judge (CJ) Justice Daniel Okungbowa to investigate allegation of gross misconduct levelled against the Deputy Governor, submitted Shaibu was guilty of disclosure of official secret.
