The Management of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (EACOED) has commended Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for finding the College as the best and serene environment for training of the newly recruited Oyo State Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Amotekun.
A release by the Acting Registrar of the institution, Mrs. Olubunmi Asunmo on behalf of the Governing Council, staff and students of the College appreciated the uncommon gesture of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the kind consideration of the College to host the 2-week training for the Amotekun corps.
FreshPage had earlier reported that Oyo State Government has shortlisted 1,500 successful applicants for the security job.
The Acting Registrar notified all students of the College on behalf of the Chairman of Governing Council, Prof. Mathew Odedokun that inter-semester break has been extended in order to make environment conducive and hitch- free for the training of the Amotekun personnel.
Mrs. Asunmo said all normal academic activities would return to the College on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 while urging students to take the advantage of the extended break to revitalize for more vibrant academic activities and remain safe in their respective places of abode.
