Apart from internet related crimes, possession of fraudulent documents among others are what Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) mandated to get rid in the country and prosecute the perpetrator.
Tope Peter Obi has has been convicted and sentenced to one year imprisonment for possession of fraudulent documents by Justice O.A. Okunuga of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, on Tuesday.
The convict was arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a one-count charge bordering on possession of fraudulent documents, an offence contrary to Section 318 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.
He pleaded “guilty” to the one-count charge.
