The Provost, Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi, has commended State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for prioritizing the welfare and development of the State College at Eleyele.
She made this statement while appearing on a BCOSTV’s programme, as part of the institution’s 75th-anniversary celebrations.
Dr. Gbojunbola Owolabi, highlighted the commitments of the State governor, Engr. Seyi to the education of the state indigenes.
She noted that the governor has been consistent in providing fully funded scholarships to four students from each local government studying Community Nursing and Community Midwifery at the institution.
The provost highlighted the programs the school offers, including the newly added Higher National Diploma in Nursing, which provides the institution with a competitive advantage and facilitates its expansion.
She further stated that the institution is working towards obtaining international recognition and collaborations to secure grants aimed at improving its standards.
