The process to impeach Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan is gaining momentum among the Oyo State House of Assembly members following his defection from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to All Progressives Congress, APC.
However, FRESHPAGE observed that eight (8) out of thirty-two (32) lawmakers did not signed the petition and notice of allegations leveled against Engr Olaniyan.

FRESHPAGE reports that Oyo State House of Assembly had on Wednesday plenary alleged Deputy Governor on five-count offenses.
The house gave Engr Olaniyan seven days to respond to the allegations before the next plenary.

Below is the list of 8 lawmakers who didn’t participated in the impeachment process of Engr Olaniyan;

3. Hon. Adewumi Lateef Olayiwola (Oorelope)
4. Hon. Isiaka Kazeem Tunde (Oyo East/West)
5. Hon. Wunmi Oladeji (Ogbomoso North)
6. Hon. Bamigboye Jacob Abioye ( Oriire)
7. Hon. Dele Adeola (Iseyin/Itesiwaju)
8. Hon. Oyeleke Simeon Adegbola (Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere).
This newspaper understands that majority of those who didn’t signed the petition were lawmakers on the platform All Progressives Congress, APC.
