Alhaji Moshood Gbolagade Akere, a stalwart son of Ibadan, is a gifted leader with a vision for Ibadanland. He is steering progress and tradition forward through his impactful influence on Ibadan’s heritage, championing sustained growth and development. With wisdom in action, he bridges the past with the present, preserving Ibadanland’s rich cultural legacy while driving innovation and progress. As he celebrates a special day, I celebrate his unshakeable commitment to Ibadanland’s growth and heritage, making him a guiding light for the city’s future.
Moshood Gbolagade, Mogaji of the Akere Dynasty, was born on December 30, 1968, into a family of brave warriors who fought in the Kiriji War. He draws on the courage and determination of his ancestors to lead effectively in today’s Ibadanland.
Mogaji Akere’s transformative journey from professional Land Surveyor to influential industrialist and community leader epitomises his unwavering dedication to progress. Through strategic ventures like Moshgan Plus Services and MPS Guest House, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, he drives development, uplifting his people and fostering community growth. His impactful philanthropy and profound engagement in cultural events underscore a legacy of service and empowerment, cementing his position as a fount of hope. As a devoted family man, married with adorable children, Mogaji Akere’s life is proof of the power of vision, diligence and giving back.
