In what appeared one of the toughest elections so far in the history of prestigious Ibadan elite club, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), newly elected president emerged on Friday at the keenly contested election between the sitting president-general, Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga and his top contender, Barr Niyi Ajewole.

Barr Ajewole polled highest number of votes cast, 46 to defeat Prince Adeaga who recorded 39 votes.

FRESHPAGE recalls that Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun Alli Okunmade II and other stakeholders in Ibadan had to intervene so that no candidate was screened out unjustly.
