President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday sworn-in Justice Olukayode Ariwoola As the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Justice Ariwoola took oath of office at the Council Chamber, Abuja before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.

Justice Ariwoola was appointed as Justice of Supreme Court on 22nd November, 2011 under the administration of former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Speaking after the oath of office, Justice Ariwoola said he shall not let Nigeria down through the support of others in the legal sector of the country.

Iseyin born legal luminary stressed that the judiciary under him would strive to overcome delay frequently experienced in filing of cases.
