The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State chapter has lost its appeal case filed against Governor Seyi Makinde led government on the local government crisis.

The summary of judgement held today in Ibadan showed that the Oyo ALGON led by Prince Abass Ayodeji Aleshinloye as its Chairman lost the battle.

The judge held that the case is quite different from the Ekiti State case.

The Court held that the case of the Respondents (ALGON) was speculative and that the Oyo State’s case is distinguishable from the Ekiti State’s case.

It would be recalled that Prince Abass Ayodeji Aleshinloye had earlier described the sack of all LGA and LCDA Chairmen by Oyo State Government as an act illegality, executive rascality and affront on the rule of law.
