Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Thursday received the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao, DFS, at his office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.
Governor Makinde made the pledge before Air Marshal Amao that his government will donate a sum of Five Hundred Million Naira (N500,000,000) for the construction of permanent site of Nigerian Air Force in Ibadan.
Makinde who was joined by lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin and top government functionaries visited the permanent site located in Ajia, Ona-Ara Local Government Area of the state to perform the groundbreaking ceremony.
Governor Makinde expressed that his government will continue to offer necessary support to the officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). He said that his dream is to make sure that Oyo State have one of the best Sir Force bases in the country.
