The leadership of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government on Sunday, July 9, 2023, decided at its stakeholders meeting held at party secretariat Yemetu to announce Hon. Seun Olufade from ward 8 of the Local Government as the consensus candidate of the party in the forthcoming local government poll.
FreshPage recalls that Hon. Seun Olufade was an aspirant in the primary elections of the party for House of Representatives in 2022 where he came second among the thirteen aspirants.

FreshPage understands that Hon Olufade had been asked earlier to step down for the incumbent chairman of the Local Government three years ago, which he obliged to without any hitch.
The meeting which was presided over by the Local Government Party Chairman, Prince Seun Adelore was well attended by all the prominent leaders in Ibadan North Local Government.
Some of which are Hon Babajide Gabriel representing Ibadan North constituency 2, Hon Olufunke comforter representing Ibadan North constituency 1, Hon.Yusuf Sahib Oladayo Agbaegbe the incumbent chairman of the local government, Hon Awoleye Abiodun Dada former federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal constituency, Engr Daniel Olutunji Ajuwon, Hon.Toyin Balogun, Leader Ashipa, Leader Agboluaje, Leader Yemisi, Leader Jossy, Leader Odeajo, former local government vice-chairman Hon Gani Koko, Hon.Jire, Baba Elerandindin, Hon Dauda Lawal Ire Alhaji Kunmi Mighty, Baba Kola Raufu, Hon Akeem Egbende, Leader Yahya Adetunji, all Local Government Excos, all the twelve wards councilors and host of others.
