Senator Godswill Akpabio has emerged President of the 10th Senate.
The two term former governor of Akwa-Ibom State defeated two term former governor of Zamfara State, AbdulAziz Yari in a keenly contested election.
Out of the total 109 votes cast, Senator Godswill Akpabio polled a total of 63 votes while Yari scored 46 votes.
