In what could be described as black Christmas day happened in Ejigbo LGA, Osun State, as caretaker Chairman of Ejigbo Local Government Area (main council), Hon. Raheem Issa Sofoluwe reportedly died few minutes after returning from the residence of one the party leaders in People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. George Alabi.
Hon. George Alabi is the commissioner for Land and Physical Planning in the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke led government.
According to Roundtable media, late Alhaji Sofoluwe paid homage to the Commissioner early in the day to wish him a Merry Christmas but was reported dead a few minutes after returning home.
Hon Raheem Issa Sofoluwe failed to get to the hospital before he gave up the ghost as he was declared dead on arrival at the hospital where he was rushed to.
He was said to have driven himself to and from the house of the commissioner although no report of eating or altercation with anyone as his death remains miserable.
He is the second local government chairman to die few months after the local government chairmen were inaugurated by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
