Freshly matriculated and other students of the University of Ibadan have been charged to be humble and God conscious in all they do.
The Chief Imam of the UI Central Mosque, Professor Oloyede Abdul- Rahmon, gave the charge at a special Jumat service to welcome the Muslim freshers into the Muslim community of the University of Ibadan.
Professor Abdul-Rahmon advised the students to be of good conduct, respect their colleagues and the lecturers, and obey the rules and regulations of the University.

He urged them to shun cultism and other vices, to be righteous in all their dealings, and to be compassionate with the less privileged.
The chief Imam also enjoined the students to remember to give back to the University of Ibadan after they might have become successful in life.
He, thereafter, prayed for the new students and other members of the University community.
The special Jumat Service was part of the orientation programmes organised by the Students’ Affairs Division to welcome fresh students of the University of Ibadan for the 2024/2025 academic session.
