In a momentous occasion held on Saturday, September 28, at the Prince Tunde Odunlade Arts, Culture and Gallery Connexion Studio, New Bodija, Association of Nigerian Authors, Oyo’s chapter stakeholders and members from across the state gathered to participate in the election of key representatives for the association and elected Busayo Fakunle as the General Secretary.
The election was the climax of the two-day ANA-OYO 33rd Annual Convention themed ‘Protests against Hunger and Economic Hardship: Implications for Nigerian Democracy’, which the Keynote Speaker, Professor Olakunbi O. Olasope addressed deeply under the distinguished chairmanship of Professor Chukwuma Okoye.
In a phone call conversation with FRESHPAGE, the newly elected General Secretary, Fakunle expressed his willingness and readiness to serve the association again having served as the Publicity Secretary for two terms (four years).

Mudasir Ganiyu (former commissioner for special duties, Oyo State) Associate Professor Bayo Adebowale, founder African Heritage Research Library and Cultural Center and many other renowned personalities in the writing industry
