Barely hours to the commencement of PDP South West zonal congress, armed thugs allegedly working for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Rasheed Olopoeyan have been arrested in Osogbo, Osun state capital.
They were arrested by combination of Joint Task Force comprises Police and Civil Defence in an hotel close to the venue of the Zonal Congress schedule for tomorrow.
The arrested thugs were in possession of arms and ammunition believe like rifles, local charms and others.
One Mr. Tiri Olowoposi, 50Litres were among the those arrested by the police.
It would be recalled that there have been a series of objection and rejection over where the venue of the Congress would hold before Governor Makinde’s faction and that Fayose’s camp agreed that the Zonal Congress for the South West region hold in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
