Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Wednesday commissioned satellite campus of Rivers State University located in Emohua community.
While speaking at the commissioning of the project, Governor Makinde eulogized Rivers State Governor, Barr Nyesom Wike for spreading satellite campus of Rivers State University to different parts of the state. He said Governor Wike is not just executing project but embarking on quality project that will stand the test of time.
He extolled the virtues of Governor Wike for delivering the quality project within a year.
Makinde recalled how the community was like when he observed his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Rivers State in 1990.
The duo of Makinde and Wike are not happy with the way southern leaders of the party were treated by National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Iyorchia Ayu led chairman described Wike and other aggrieved governors as boys to him.
On his part, Governor Wike described Oyo Governor as dependable ally and trustworthy man who wants genuine infrastructural development for Oyo State.
Present at the commissioning of the project were Rivers State University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nlerum Okogbule, chairman, members of University Governing Council, Emohua traditional leaders and top government functionaries.
