One of the wives of His Imperial Majesty Alaafin of Oyo,Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, Queen Aishat Folashade Adeyemi and Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadan, Oloye Lekan Alabi are among the shortlisted awardees for the second cultural festival put together by Arewa Foundation.
As part of the vision to revive and sustain cultural heritage which is vast losing its stand, Arewa Foundation which is aimed at promoting and adding value to Yoruba culture as announced the second edition of its cultural festival and award ceremony for the year 2021.
According to the founder, Omidan Adebola Adegbola Arewa who spoke with FRESHPAGE.COM.NG, she said second edition of the much anticipated festival and award ceremony would hold on Thursday, March 25, 2021. She added that His Imperial Majesty, Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III pledged to attend his beautiful and alluring wives.
Other dignatories and awardees expected at the programme are; Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, Chief Falowo Fakayode, presenter of Oruomeniowo program, Prince Babatunde Balogun, Chief Wale Lawal, Chief Taiwo Ifayemi Ikusaanu, Bashorun Gboyega Lawal, Alhaji Kabir, Chief Samuel Ojerinde Egbedokun, Kola Akintayo, Oyatoye Olaniyi, Miss Mariam Kasali, Alhaji Waheed Akintayo, Babalaje General of Gbagi Tuntun market Ibadan.
Artistes expected at the cultural festival and award ceremony to entertain guests and others are; Asabi Oje Afenapa, Alhaji Ridwan Akanni, Ogundele Nike Suliyat, Rasheed Akanji Apala, Agborako Cultural Performing Troupe, Com. Aremu Star.
