An Ibadan Mogaji, Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has paid a condolence visit to the ancient Oyo Palace over the recent transposition of 45th Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.
Tegbe, who is running for Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his shock at the news, noting that he took him some time to process.

He pointed out how Oba Adeyemi III has been a father figure to him and contributed to his personal development. He prayed for the bereaved family, the Oyo Mesi, all sons and daughters of Oyo and indeed the entire Yoruba nation.
During the visit, Tegbe recalled fond memories of childhood days under the tutelage of the late monarch, who was a close friend of his father.
He described Oba Adéyemí III as an encyclopedia of Yoruba culture who lived a fulfilled and impactful life.

According to Tegbe, Iku Baba Yeye demonstrated genuine leadership by contributing to both Yoruba and national issues objectively. He was brilliant, kind and calm will be dearly missed not only by Oyo people but indeed the entire nation.
