As Alhaji Isiaka Gbolagade Adio marks a significant milestone, his 70th birthday, I celebrate a remarkable individual who has made an indelible mark on the University of Ibadan community and beyond. A respected figure, Alhaji Adio has been a beacon of excellence, inspiring countless individuals with his resourcefulness, leadership, and commitment to the community. Recently, he served on the successful First-ever Olubadan Coronation Committee, where I served as the secretary.

His contributions to the Ibadan Descendants Union (UI/Polytechnic Branch) and the Anti-Cultism Campaign Committee, which later transformed into the Centre for Social Orientation (CENSO) at the University of Ibadan, are a testament to his dedication to creating a safer and more inclusive environment. His exceptional leadership skills and vast network of University connections earned him a contract appointment as a member of CENSO, a position he held with distinction.

Alhaji Adio’s impressive personality, marked by his commanding carriage, good conduct and fashionable dress sense, has earned him widespread respect and admiration. His bold, frank and honest disposition has made him a trusted voice in the community and his close relationships with colleagues and peers are proof of his exceptional interpersonal skills.

As he celebrates this milestone birthday, I join his family, friends, associates and well-wishers in wishing him a happy birthday, long life and sustained prosperity. May he continue to inspire and uplift those around him, and may his legacy of excellence and community service continue to shine brightly, MaashaAllahu.

Happy, happy birthday, Alaye 70!

Cheers!
