The Chairman, Oyo State Post Primary School Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akinade Alamu has disclosed that reason why Commission employed 450 Non-indigene teachers which represent 9% of the total employed teachers.
Pastor Alamu said the motive to accommodate non-indigene was to employ competent personnel to impact students in the schools not minding the state such applicants came from.
The Chairman disclosed this while featuring on Fresh105.9fm, Ibadan in a programme tagged “Situation Room” and anchored by Mr. Mayor Isaac Brown.
Pastor Alamu, however directed all applicants who scored 50 per cent and above in the Computer Based Test (CBT) and attended oral interview to check their portal today to know if they are eventually employed noting that over 6,000 applicants met the cut off mark for CBT.
The Chairman also assured non-teaching applicants that their oral Interview would commence soon. While given the breakdown about the non-teaching applicants, Pastor Alamu said the Commission received 26,000 application where 4,000 would be employed after they were thoroughly screened.
