Governor Seyi Makinde has reacted to the mass defection of heavyweight politicians across the six geo-political zones in the country to ruling All Progressives Congress, APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Governor Makinde said no matter the height of defection by governors from other parties to the All Progressives Congress, APC will make him follow such route. He lamented that a former Governor of Delta who was running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar that couldn’t deliver the state he has governed for 8 years has jumped to APC.

Governor Makinde said despite defection to APC, hunger and anger still persist in the country which he described should be a big concern for all political office holders.

FreshPage reports that Enugu State Governor, Peter Mba, Sim Fubara of Rivers State, Agbu Kefas of Taraba state among others have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said Nigerians are angry, he stressed that they will show politicians what they don’t expect in 2027.
